In this episode we visited a very special place in Ticino, Switzerland. The Lago di #Vogorno is a beautiful lake in the #Verzasca Valley which was artificially built 56 years ago with the Diga di Vogorno, the #dam of Vogorno. This dam was built to produce electrical power (and was not supported by the local community that used the area for wine production). In January 2022 the dam was emptied for the first time after 56 years. It was a very strange experience to walk in the empty lake and to see an old path, old stone walls and bridges and even trees that normally are under water. A very bizarre experience. At the end of the video we have some interesting drone footage that shows the massive impact of the dam on the landscape.
