Duke vs. NC State: The 6th-seeded Blue Devils defeated the 3rd-seeded Wolfpack, 8-1, to advance out of pool play and into the 2024 ACC Baseball Championship semifinals. This game looked like it was heading to be a low-scoring pitcher's duel until the top of the fifth inning. Duke left fielder Chase Krewson scored the first run of the game with a lead-off solo home run. Then four batters later, second baseman Zac Morris hit a 455-foot grand slam to break the game open. AJ Garcia hit the third home run of the fifth inning with a solo blast, and centerfielder Devin Obee tacked on a 2-run homer in the sixth. Pitcher Andrew Healy threw the first five innings for Duke, giving up just one hit and striking out four. Duke will play the 11th-seeded Miami Hurricanes in the semifinals on Saturday.
