Based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name, it is the first installment of the Blade franchise. The film stars Wesley Snipes as Blade along with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, and N'Bushe Wright in supporting roles. The film follows Blade, a human with vampire strengths but not their weaknesses, who wages a relentless war against vampires threatening humanity. When Blade uncovers a plot by the ruthless vampire Deacon Frost to unleash the blood god La Magra, he, with the help of his mentor Abraham Whistler and hematologist Karen Jenson, navigates a world of supernatural threats and intense action to protect humanity from the looming vampire menace.
