Lindsay "L-Boh" Bohanske outlines the differences between our three Belgian-style strong ales, starting with Tripel, which offers up a complex, yet dry finish at 9.0% ABV. We age our Tripel in bourbon barrels for up to two months to make Curieux, layering the beer with notes of vanilla, caramel, oak, and a hint of bourbon at a surprisingly drinkable 10.2% ABV. Finally, Barrel & Bean takes Curieux and blends it with cold-brewed coffee from Speckled Ax, a Maine coffee roaster, lending stone fruit and dark berry flavors along with rich notes of caramel, bourbon, and coffee, at 9.6% ABV. All three of these beers are available in 4-packs of 12oz bottles everywhere our beer is sold, with Tripel and Curieux also available in 750mL bottles.
