Sounds so much better with the cone filter. I do realize that even with the "heat shield" it's a warm air intake, but I'm not struggling with intake temps right now, and I've left in place the original pipe that goes to the front of the car, so its getting some amount of fresh air as well.
It switches between flutter and "PSHHHH" because I have an adjustable diverter valve, which allows for flutter on low boost but opens up and dumps the pressure into the intake on high boost.
Installing was very easy, the heat shield bolts into the same places as OEM airbox.
I'm not expecting it to do much difference power-wise, maybe the airflow will be better on higher RPMs, but it's snowy and icy currently so I didn't really have a chance to properly put my foot down. The difference probably won't be noticeable, but this is the first mod I've done on this car that I didn't expect performance gains, just pure sound improvement
