2 Letter Blending E plus Consonants
This video teaches children how to take two separate sounds, the Short E sound, "eh" as in "e-gg" and Consonant sounds and blend the sounds together. The process of combining sounds is called Blending.
Blending is taught by moving the Short E sound and a Consonant sound closer and closer together so that your child learns to say the sounds closer and closer together.
Blending sounds is a learning process. The first step of blending is when your child states the correct two sounds for the letter characters that are being blended. For example, the blend, "et" will often first be read as "eh" "tah." With practice your child will learn to further blend the sounds to correctly say "et."
[ Ссылка ] - Once your child masters the names of the Uppercase and
Lowercase Alphabet, your child is ready to learn the Letter Sounds.
Start with the Uppercase Letter Sound (Non-Musical) Video . This video teaches the sounds of the letters.
Watch and say the sounds along with the video. The Letter Sounds are the sounds the letters make.
Letter sound memorization is necessary in order for a child to sound out unfamiliar words and read.
To assist your child's learning of the Letter Sounds, use the Uppercase Flashcards and have your child tell you the sound that the letters make (Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Flashcards).
