This talk provides advice about how to have productive political conversations with friends, and includes strategies to use in these conversations that might actually make the friendship stronger. This is particularly important in a democracy, where political conversations among friends is essential. Timothy Dale is an Associate Professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. His research interests include democratic theory, civil society, and the relationship between popular culture and politics.
