"You rightly mentioned the deep concern we share for the Iranian nuclear programme. I think it's important we stick to the decisions that the Security Council took and to the sanctions that were implemented. We see already some success but not sufficient success after the sanctions that were implemented. And still Iran has to come forward with much more evidence and not just has to speed down the process, but they have to end the process."

STORYLINE
The chancellor of Austria, Alfred Gusenbauer, on Monday pledged to support international calls for Iran to stop its nuclear programme.
He made the comment on the first day of his two-day visit to Israel, the first by an Austrian head of government since 1998 and only the third since the Jewish state was founded in 1948.
The issue of Iran's nuclear programme was raised during Gusenbauer's talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at his office in Jerusalem.
"The main strategic issue which the international community, and above all the EU, is facing is the issue of the Iranian nuclear threat on the stability of the Middle East and on the whole world," Olmert said at a news conference following the talks.
Gusenbauer responded saying that Austria, as a member of the EU, supported the sanctions against Iran, adding that Tehran needed to come forward with more evidence that it was ready to stop its nuclear programme.
The chancellor also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum where he laid a wreath to the memory of the six (M) million Jews who were killed by the Nazis.
He said the museum "reminds us to be vigilant against all forms of anti-semitism and racism. It reminds us of our responsibility to learn from the past and educate our kids for a better future".
Later in the day, Gusenbauer also met Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Jerusalem.
