A history of the secretive Praetorian Guard - the bodyguard to the Roman Emperors of the imperial period. The guard existed for 3 centuries, yet we as the general public know relatively little about them. This video aims to reveal the true history of the guard with a focus on its imperial power and position, and to find out why such a crucial imperial element has gone under-represented.
