In this video, I will show you how to reset network settings on the Huawei Y6P smartphone.
Feel free to use this tutorial video if you need help deleting all custom network settings on your Huawei smartphone and then restore the default network configurations.
How does Reset Network Settings Work?
Smartphones do have different reset options for users to execute when dealing with system issues that could not be dealt with by basic tweaks. Among these is the reset on the network settings or reset network settings command.
A network reset usually comes in handy when dealing with complex network problems from slow internet, intermittent connection, signal issues and other relevant symptoms that instigate after reconfiguring or customizing the network settings.
As the name implies, a network reset deletes all your current network settings including saved Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth connections and cellular network configurations. After the reset, network defaults are restored.
Depicted in this tutorial video is a network reset on the Huawei Y6P smartphone. You can execute this reset as the last resort when faced with recurring network issues on the same Huawei phone.
Steps to Reset Network Settings on Huawei Y6P
These steps can also be used when resetting the network settings on other Huawei phones that have the same software version with the Y6P. Before you proceed, take note of all your important network credentials including passwords for Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth connections.
Once you’ve got everything set, tap the Settings icon from the Home screen to get started. Doing so will let you access the main settings menu of the phone.
On the Settings menu, you will see a long list of features and main settings.
Scroll down to view more items. When you reach the bottom section, tap System and updates.
System features will populate the next menu.
Tap Reset to continue.
On the next screen, you will see a list of reset commands including reset all settings, reset network settings and reset phone.
Select the command to Reset network settings.
Another screen opens, telling you what happens when you reset all network settings on the phone.
Read the entire message and then tap Reset Network Settings beneath the screen to continue.
On the next screen, you will be asked to enter your device PIN or pattern, so, enter the correct PIN or pattern to proceed.
Another screen opens, prompting a final warning.
Review the warning message and then tap Reset Network Settings to confirm.
The phone will then start erasing all existing network configurations including saved Wi-Fi networks, APNs, Bluetooth connections and cellular network configurations.
After the reset, the phone reboots on its own and then restores the default network settings.
This denotes the need for you to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network to get back online and use Internet apps and services on your phone.
Bluetooth connections must also be set up again as new.
