The family goes for a healthy walk before enjoying the breakfast ready on the table. A little girl discovers the empty house, watches through a hole in the door as teddy bears dance, drinks with delight from the smallest bowl after disdaining the contents of the other two, and then goes to the bedroom where she chooses the small bed, which is more comfortable than the others, for a nap....
The 'Teddy' Bears is an American silent film directed by Edwin S. Porter and Wallace McCutcheon, and produced by the Edison Manufacturing Company.
The film is based on a traditional oral tale, attributed in its written version to the Brothers Grimm, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and on a real-life episode in the life of Theodore Roosevelt, who became the 26th President of the United States from 1901 to 1909. Known colloquially as 'Teddy', in 1902 the President shot a family of bears but chose to keep their offspring alive, hence the title The 'Teddy' Bears

Une famille d'ours, père, mère et fils, étrangement civilisée, vit dans une maison perdue dans les bois. C'est l'hiver. La famille fait une promenade salutaire avant de déguster le petit-déjeuner prêt sur la table. Une petite fille découvre la maison vide, regarde les ours en peluche danser par un trou dans la porte, boit avec délice dans le plus petit bol après avoir dédaigné le contenu des deux autres, puis se rend dans la chambre à coucher pour faire la sieste.....
The 'Teddy' Bears est un film muet américain réalisé par Edwin S. Porter et Wallace McCutcheon, et produit par l'Edison Manufacturing Company.
Le film est basé sur un conte oral traditionnel, attribué dans sa version écrite aux frères Grimm, Boucle d'or et les trois ours, et sur un épisode réel de la vie de Theodore Roosevelt, qui devint le 26e président des États-Unis de 1901 à 1909. Connu familièrement sous le nom de "Teddy", le président a abattu en 1902 une famille d'ours mais a choisi de garder leur progéniture en vie, d'où le titre Les Ours "Teddy".
