In todays video I'll cover which stocks make up the magnificent 7 stocks and how I invest in them. I'll explain why i don't buy individual stocks and choose to invest in ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds).
The magnificent 7 stocks are all companies that feature heavily in our lives.
You might wake up to an alarm on your Apple iPhone, quickly Google what the weather is going to be like, get ready, come downstairs and drive to work in your Tesla, log on to your Microsoft computer, on the way home you might pick up a piece of furniture your partner has bought from Facebook Marketplace (Meta Platforms). Then when you get home, the doors a little tricky to push open as there’s your latest Amazon Prime parcel waiting for you on doormat. Then finally we get to Nvidia, well many some of the companies I just mentioned are Nvidia’s biggest customers (Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft to name a few).
Bank of America analyst Michael Hartnett coined the phrase in 2023 when commenting on the seven companies commonly recognised for their market dominance, their technological impact, and their changes to consumer behaviour and economic trends.
These 7 companies currently make up more than 25% of the S&P 500 and more than 35% of the NASDAQ 100. Investing Qualifications I hold:
