We stopped for a rest on our recent tour of Connemara in County Galway at this iconic film set. This is known as "The Quiet Man Bridge" as it was used in scenes from the 1951 movie, The Quiet Man starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara and directed by John Huston. You can see Wayne arriving near his ancestral home in Ireland - and he stops the cart to walk to the bridge and take in the view. The bridge stands and looks the same as it did back in 1951.
