This is my bass tribute to the late Bernard Edwards.
I've always been impressed by his bass playing, and his way to put groove into a song! He has always had a great influence on me, and his bass lines were one of the reasons why I started playing the bass.
Wishing he was still around...
In this video I'm playing parts of:
- Sister Sledge - He's The Greatest Dancer
- Chic - Le Freak
- Sister Sledge - Lost In Music
- Sister Sledge - We Are Family
- Diana Ross - My Old Piano
- Diana Ross - Upside Down
- Chic - Soup For One
- Chic - Everybody Dance
- Sheila B. Devotion - Spacer
- Chic - Good Times
- Sister Sledge - Pretty Baby
Equipment used:
- Fender American Standard Jazz Bass
- No effects or EQ
- Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface
- Cubase
I'm getting that bass tone by having the neck pickup at 80%, the bridge pickup at 100% and the tone at about 70%.
Enjoy!
