The body of Joseph O'Dell, executed in the United States last week for a 1985 murder he denied committing, arrived in Italy Wednesday (30/07) for burial in Palermo, Sicily, on Thursday (31/07).
His widow, Lori Urs, who O'Dell married hours before his execution in Greensville prison, Virginia, on July 23, accompanied his body. Sister Helen Prejean, who wrote the book on which the movie "Dead Man Walking" was based, was also present.
