Amazon's first check-out free physical grocery store outside the US welcomed customers in London on Thursday. The opening comes as the company has been looking to consolidate its position in fresh produce retail after previously moving into the food delivery market. After customers get inside by scanning a QR code, their actions are tracked by cameras and sensors registering everything they take from the shelves or put back. They are only sent a bill by email after leaving the shop.
