Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel & Olivia Lum – doctrine refuted by Derek Prince, John Piper & Paul Washer By Rev George Ong

In this article, I am surfacing another 3 giants of Bible exposition, namely, Derek Prince, John Piper and Paul Washer, who demolished Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel doctrine.

In my many previous articles, I have also surfaced other heavyweights, such as, Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, Matthew Henry, AW Tozer, Arthur Pink, Billy Graham, FF Bruce, JI Packer, RC Sproul, Ben Witherington, David Pawson, etc, who also rebutted Joseph Prince’s other doctrines.

Do you know what this means? This proves that Joseph Prince is a lone ranger, as far as his grace doctrine is concerned.

He does not allude to any Church Fathers or any well-regarded Bible teacher to support his grace doctrine, because Prince knows very well that no one would uphold or endorse his false grace doctrine.

This is because no Pastor (or very few) in the Singapore Church will ever feel comfortable to recommend a new believer or any believer, for that matter, to attend New Creation Church.

No Pastor (or very few) will publicly state that they support and endorse many of Joseph Prince’s doctrines.

What this means is that besides the doctrinal aspects and his marred character, these are clear indicators that Joseph Prince is a heretic.

Olivia Lum, the founder of Hyflux, is in the news again. Please refer to a Straits Times report, today, Saturday, 6 May 2023: The gist of the news is that a total of 6 charges were brought against Olivia Lum, mainly for violations of the Companies Act. Olivia Lum is currently out on $100,000 bail.

Unfortunately, Joseph Prince is still unrepentantly preaching the Prosperity Gospel or Health & Wealth Gospel.

Joseph Prince is again slandering his critics.

Joseph Prince must tell us which Evangelical Pastor or Church in Singapore teaches that silver and gold are inherently evil.

I bet he can’t even name one because it is a strawman tactic and argument that he constantly and deceptively uses against his critics.

(Note that I’ve viewed plenty of his videos, so I know what I’m talking about.)

Let me put it in a straightforward manner – the Prosperity Gospel doctrine of Joseph Prince that every New Covenant believer is to be very rich as Abraham was, is not only totally out of sync with scripture, but also a scam that millions have fallen into.

No wonder, John Piper has boldly declared that the Prosperity Gospel is an abomination because it is a different gospel and it destroys lives.

That is why I have always maintained that Joseph Prince, who preaches the Prosperity Gospel is a heretic.

If just one doctrine – the Prosperity Gospel doctrine could qualify Joseph Prince to be a heretic, he must be a heretic many times over because of the numerous other false doctrines that he also preaches.

John Piper has strongly spoken out that the very thing that leads people to want to be rich and to their destruction is nurtured and cultivated by none other than the Prosperity Gospel preachers themselves.

And he calls that an abomination!

You could imagine the destruction that Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel teachings that every New Covenant believer has the covenantal right to be very rich as Abraham was, has caused many believers.

Believers, who aren’t rich, would think that something is wrong with them, and they would try all ways and means to be very rich to fulfil their covenantal right.

Some may even be pressured to resort to underhand and dishonest means to either get richer or maintain their riches in order to fulfil their covenantal right to be very rich as Abraham was.

This could be the start of a dangerous spiral downward into ruin and destruction, all because of Joseph Prince’s teachings, that it is the covenantal right of every New Covenant believer to be very rich as Abraham was.

Joseph Prince has already brought one, Olivia Lum, who was influenced by his teachings to destruction, you had better stay away from the Prosperity Gospel of Joseph Prince, lest you become another Olivia Lum.

Instead of warning people that their desire for wealth and to be very rich, could choke them to their spiritual death, unbelievably, Joseph Prince encourages them to pursue the very thing that could result in their eternal ruin.

God’s shepherd will never bring about your destruction, but only the devil’s wolf would.

Be warned that if you blindly follow Joseph Prince’s ‘every-believer-must-be-very-rich-as-Abraham-was’ false doctrine, you are allowing covetousness to gain a foothold in your life.

And the sin of covetousness would lead, not just to your earthly ruin, but also to your eternal destruction (1 Tim 6:9-10).
