An Asian art tour of the drawings and prints of Salvador Dali, one of the most influential Surrealist artists, has been premiered in Taipei.
The Taiwanese capital is the first stop on the exhibit's Asian tour.
The art exhibit will later be extended to mainland China and Southeast Asia after the Taipei opening.
Under the watchful eye of the pictured master, the Dali exhibition opened in Taipei.
The exhibit displays drawings and sketches by Spain's famed surrealist painter, all completed between 1960 and 1974.
Many of Dali's drawings and prints were inspired by modern literature.
He joined the Surrealists in 1929 and his talent for self-publicity rapidly made him the most famous representative of the movement.
Dali's works often deal with religious themes, although sexual subjects and images that centre on dreams are also continuing preoccupations.
These Dali's originals were borrowed from France's Musee du Surrealisme for the Asian art tour.
After the exhibition in Taiwan, the series will travel through Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand and Singapore.
