Variety SA has recently granted over $93,000 to Riding for the Disabled South Australia. This grant will be used to provide riding lessons for children with disabilities that do not receive NDIS funding.
Riding for the Disabled is a voluntary, not for profit, organisation providing horse riding and related activities as sport, active recreation and basic therapy for people with disabilities.
Benefits from this program include: building motor skills, improving balance, developing social & emotional skills, as well as educational development.
Variety SA has supported this organisation by granting over $1.7 million, since 2002.
