February 19 It is a special day in the calendar - especially in the calendar of the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
It was on February 19, 1473 that Nicolaus Copernicus was born.
Every year on February 19, the entire academic community pays tribute to Nicolaus Copernicus, because the ideas and values presented by this outstanding scientist are present at the University of his name also today.
From 2020, on February 19, we also celebrate the Polish Science Day. The holiday is to increase interest in science and inspire to follow in the footsteps of outstanding people of science.
