"Flash" by Lewis OfMan
Curated by: Robert Francis Hogan III

Genre: #indiedance
It’s not news or anything, but the French really have it going on when it comes to smooth house music. I’d like to bring to your attention, the 21 year-old Parisian, Lewis OfMan’s “Flash”. If you like Polo & Pan, this is a song for you. If you like the idea of dancing in a tuxedo, this is your huckleberry. If you’ve always wondered what hyphy elevator music sounds like, look no further. If you want an experience of music that makes you feel fancy and cultured, this is definitely a song for you.
“Flash” is a large and glitzy cocktail of strut-inducing builds, keys, shakers, bells, chimes, organ, horns, drums, cymbals, and synth. House music with big brass band breadth. Gilded groove. It’s “Puttin’ On the Ritz” for the 21st century. Jazz hands with rave gloves.
With only a couple of EPs and some singles released, Lewis Delhomme is already crafting music for Paris’s hottest runway shows. It isn’t a huge leap to say that Lewis OfMan makes music for beautiful people to walk around in while wearing art. I was going to make a fashion related pun about Lewis being “in Vogue” when I discovered that he has literally been interviewed in “Vogue”, the magazine, maybe you’ve heard of it. Pretty impressive for a 21 year-old producer.
His music is a self-described mix of 70’s Italian film soundtracks and soul/funk. The cross pollination is both seductive and energizing -- sophisticated trance. If you enjoy Flash, be sure to check out the rest of his music, “Je Pense à Toi” is a personal favorite.
