Following an overwhelmingly large number of people in attendance during our Lions in Sight Eye Clinic in Nueva Vizcaya opening, the organizers of the 2018 Medical Mission as well as Governor of Nueva Vizcaya Carlos M. Padilla hold a press conference to apologize to the crowd for not having enough supplies to see all of them. The Lions in Sight team assured the crowd that, unlike a normal medical mission, the establishment of this permanent clinic in the Provincial Health Office of Nueva Vizcaya will ensure that all those who are in need of it’s services will receive said services in the future. It is only due to the clinic’s recent opening that there are not enough eyeglasses of varying prescription to provide to all the people in attendance, but over the course of the next several months/years, local Lions, including those of the Nueva Vizcaya Tribu Vizcayano Lions Club, will be processing raw eyeglasses donated from the United States and making them available to those in need, for free. In addition, the Lions in Sight of California Foundation has to committed to supplying the clinic with more donated eyeglasses as the need develops, as they do in all other clinics they have established throughout the world.
