Parent models how to use differential attention/active ignoring/planned ignoring in response to disruptive behavior in the Child-Directed Interaction (CDI) Phase of PCIT for children ages 2-6 years. The goal is to decrease reinforcement/attention following undesirable behavior, wait for more desirable behavior, and immediately reinforce the desirable behavior.
