Mars, the Bringer of War! A perfect video to be released on Halloween, I think.

I’ve been wanting to arrange one of The Planets for a guitar orchestra, and Mars seemed like the best planet to choose. It has such a dynamic and percussive beginning. Almost perfect for a few guitars. The piece itself was very challenging to arrange. There’s so many “melodies” and “themes” being played at once and each needs to “present itself” in the mix. Or something like that.

Big, big thanks to John DiSalle, J (and his awesome staff!) for the warm welcome and for providing a great room at the Washington County Court House. That made the video so much better.
