Periya Idathu Mappillai (English: Groom from a rich place) is a 1997 Indian Tamil comedy film directed by Guru Dhanapal. The film features Jayaram, Goundamani, Manivannan, Devayani and Mantra in lead roles. The film, produced by K. Murugan, had musical score by Sirpy and was released on 22 August 1997. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava.
