A recent study found that the overwhelming majority of hospitals are not in compliance with price transparency rules. Recall, new price transparency rules for hospitals went into effect in January of 2021. The rules require hospitals to post information about their prices in ways that are easy for consumers and researchers to access. The feds have started to fine hospitals that are not complying. We explain.
