This video explains how to measure the voltage drop that occurs due to resistance in the positive and negative cables that connect the starter to the batteries. This unwanted resistance robs the starter motor of precious wattage during high stress cranking situations such as winter, or large engines with mechanical resistances. The specs used are generic in nature and should not replace manufacturer's specifications.
