As the peace initiative continued in Bosnia, the American-brokered
ceasefire was again threatened on Tuesday (17/10) when the
Serb-held west Bosnian town of Prijedor was repeatedly shelled by
Moslem-Croat forces. Residents of Prijedor ran to shelters as
shells slammed into their town, hitting a number of houses.
