A Twycross zoo hyperlapse walk around the zoo. A mixed clip hyperlapse, filmed at different times of 2020. Even bits from Christmas. I used old clips to show you the gorilla and a bit of the chimp house insides as I was unable to get new clips because of the covid-19 restrictions. I started with my drive to the zoo on the motorway (the last little bit, not all the way 😊), coming off the motorway and driving to the zoo. Opening the car window to have the sound of the Siamang gibbon welcome you.
Once parked, going to the entrance of the zoo. The Christmas banner still hanging. Inside a huge Christmas tree and a big wall of information about Twycross Zoo. If you look closely and pause it, you might see a baby picture from Gorilla Asante! Walking through the building towards the Snow leopards. Going outdoors, you'll see the entrance. Some Christmas displays still up.
Life in the tree area includes the dusky langur, De Brazza's monkey and many others. Walking along the main route of the zoo, past the orangutans. In the past year, they closed off a lot of straight forward walkways including getting to the Orangutans from the main street. (it was supposed to make it easier for people. It is one of my bugbears, but we won't talk about that lol). Going right past the meerkats towards the Amur leopards. Lots of videos of them on my SloggerVlogger animal channel when the cub were born). Then a quick look at the meerkats. Leaving the Meerkats, past old siamang gibbon enclosure, the bonobos and the giant tortoise. Turning around at the Zebras African plain and back past the old siamang gibbon enclosure. Past the blue snack hut, turning left to go to the black-tailed prairie dogs. Moving on to the Diana monkeys, tapir, and vicuna. Walking to the penguins, flamingoes and then the bush dogs on the other side. Then past the red-legged seriema, yellow-throated marten and the stork. Past the big rhino enclosure, which was the elephant enclosure a couple of years back. They moved the family elephants to the Blackpool zoo to breed. The two new rhinos are quite new and still have to meet each other properly. Further along, the giraffes and the nyala and another look at the Rhinos habitat with their pool. Walking towards the chimpanzee Eden enclosure and going inside. Back to the entrance again, and walking past the old chimpanzee enclosure which is empty (and hopefully will be one day the extension for the gorilla enclosure). Arriving at the gorilla house, with glass all around there outside where I spent most of my time, as many of you know from my other channel :-). Going indoors, you'll see a quick clip of gorilla Biddy giving Oumbi the Silverback the evils. Her side look says it all. Little Shufai there sitting in the wood wool. This clip was taken at Lope's ( the older brother of Shufai) Birthday Party in 2020. From the gorillas up to the outdoor area of the chimpanzees. A quick look of Jambo the hairless chimp, the alpha male. Down to the steps and first I will go right from here and come back to this spot. Past the lemurs on the right and to the back of the tiger's new habitat. Opposite the old 2nd Chimpanzee enclosure, now housing the second group of bush dogs. Back to the chimp steps and going left this time. Past the lemur's walkthrough, lemurs inside enclosure, fish and chip restaurant, the gorillas and the variegated spider monkey towards the bonobos where you'll find the cute baby Lola. Moving on to the new tiger enclosure, going through the tiger tunnel. A little glimpse of Jahly there coming to the window. Next is the otter enclosure. After that the wallabies, kangaroos and the Mara to the right and as the gibbon forest ahead is closed, we're going to the left past the black spider monkey and up to the Orangutans where little Basuki and Kayan have a tumble down the slope. Next are the De Brazza's monkey outdoor enclosure and the other monkey houses and the gibbon forest. Entering the explore zone with the closed butterfly house on the right. Through the playground past the alpacas up to the goat and sheep.
Inside the rabbits and Gundi. Back outdoors again and into the bird aviary walkthrough. Lots of colourful birds in here, but unfortunately at the time of filming all inside in the warmth and who can blame them. Making my way to the exit, with a little clip of Christmas decor at the end. Another look at the Snow leopards enclosure.

I'm going to do an updated version of the Twycross zoo walk and other travel videos when it will be safe to do so and the weather is going to be better.
