Brick Wall *super realistic*
Hello my friends.
This is my third scale modelling project. I am a newbie but I will try to learn as much as possible during this exciting journey.
In my third scale modelling project I am creating a super realistic brick wall with blue styrofoam.
Using my homemade hot-wire foam cutter to cut the "bricks" in about 2 x 1 x 0.5 cm size (about 0.78 x 0.39 x 0.19 inches).
Separating the bricks.
Inside a jar (I used a plastic one), I am putting about 10-15 sharp stones with some bricks and shaking them very well in order to give them a rough texture.
On a piece of styrofoam with a black soft paper on one side, I am putting some PVA glue diluted with water (optional) and glueing the bricks on it while leaving a small distance between them and letting them dry.
Painting the bricks with a mix of brown and red but hard to say about the ratio (mix however you prefer).
Using some hobby concrete with a small brush, I am filling the gaps (the concrete should be mush and not thick).
When the concrete is almost dry, I am using a cotton swab and a brush with some water to remove the extra concrete and letting it dry.
Finishing it with matte varnish (Vallejo) to secure the colors.
