Moon Township Community Mural Project: A Celebration of Art, Inclusion, and Community
Moon Township, PA – The Moon Township Community Mural Project, a remarkable initiative sponsored by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland-Cliffs, and Sherwin-Williams Paints, in partnership with the MLK Mural Project and Special Olympics, is underway. Designed by internationally renowned artist Kyle Holbrook with Cassie from the CAVS, this project exemplifies collaboration and community spirit.
Location and Details: The mural spans three basketball courts at Moon Township Park, located at 1350 Joe DiNardo Way, Moon Township, PA 15108. This project involves two adult courts and one youth court, the latter featuring special adjustable hoops for future Special Olympics games.

Project Timeline:
The painting begins on Wednesday, June 12, at 10 AM and will continue daily until Wednesday, June 19, from 10 AM to 7 PM. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 21, at 10 AM. The event is open to the public, and everyone is invited to witness the mural's progress and celebrate its completion.

About the Artist: Kyle Holbrook, an acclaimed international artist, has created murals in 49 states and 43 countries. Known for his community engagement, Holbrook’s signature orange swirls and patterns will be prominently featured in this mural. His work emphasizes inclusivity, bringing together individuals of all abilities to contribute to the artistic process.
Community Involvement: Over 40 volunteers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sherwin-Williams, Moon Township Park, and the local community have come together with the children from the Special Olympics to paint the mural. This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and inclusion, showcasing how art can unite diverse groups to create something beautiful and meaningful.
