BMW E60 M5 V10 S85 Charging Problem: Alternator Regulator

Finally got a chance to get to the E60 M5's charging problem. Im trying to fix this on the cheap, so wanted to go through the steps of the cheapest item first, instead of just throwing an alternator at it.
