Some recent purchases of older shotguns created a concern that I was dealing with 2 3/4 chambers and not the obsolete 2 /12 inch chamber of old which would definitely be a problem. Blowing up a shotgun barrel on the trap line is greatly frowned upon......especially because I represent the “old school” shotguns when I go. There is always one guy who makes a “hope it doesn’t blow up” comment and we absolutely MUST shoot a twenty something and send his “teens” scorecard home with him and his disparaging comments.
I really do use an 1899 Winchester 1987 for trap on the regular and if you want to be sure.....I mean REALLY sure....measure it yourself. Here’s how....very easy and as simple as it should be.
Also, purchased a new choke measuring tool as well, here’s how it works.....
Be well and tune in tomorrow for a new featured rifle video!
