Dr. Stephanie Prince Ware is a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. She recently presented her research results at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress in Montreal.

Dr. Prince Ware told The Beat her research compares Nordic walking to standardized exercise therapy (SET) in patients living with heart failure. She says both Nordic walking and SET result in clinically significant improvements in both exercise capacity and heart failure-specific quality of life.
