A man charged with killing his two children and two stepchildren at the family's home in suburban Detroit has been jailed without bond.
Gregory V. Green also is accused of torturing his wife Wednesday by tying her up, cutting her face and shooting her in the foot before fatally shooting her two teenage children in front of her at their home in Dearborn Heights.
Green made an initial court appearance Thursday. He wasn't accompanied by an attorney.
Green is accused of killing his 4-year-old and 5-year-old daughters with carbon monoxide poisoning. Police have said he confessed to the killings during a 911 call.
His wife, Faith Green, survived her injuries. She filed for divorce in August.
After the hearing, Dearborn Heights police Capt. Michael Petri called it "a tragic incident."
