Japanese teenager Yuto Totsuka has reportedly escaped "big injury" after crashing hard on the lip of the halfpipe in the Winter Olympic men's final on Wednesday.The 16-year-old landed backside-first on the edge and fell on his back again into the halfpipe before coming to a halt in the middle of the PyeongChang course.He was helped off on a stretcher sled and will be assessed by doctors at a local hospital.According to USA Today, the Japanese team said Totsuka felt pain in his hip in the aftermath.Totsuka had scored 39.25 in his opening run.He finished 11th of the 12 finalists at the conclusion of the event.Fans wished the teenager well as the competition paused: American star Shaun White went on to win the gold medal ahead of Ayumu Hirano in second, with Australian gun Scotty James finishing third.
