Army ants are some of my personal favorites, and my trip to Costa Rica did not disappoint! I was able to see some amazing Eciton majors, amazing Labidus trails, and even a Neivamyrmex raid! I wish I would have been able to see more Nomamyrmex than a single dead male, but I definitely can't complain about all of the amazing Dorylinae diversity I was able to see this trip. All it means is I have something to look forward to when I go back to the neotropics!
