Did you know that TRUMPET FISH are long, thin, tubular shaped fish that can grow to 3 feet (1 meter) in length? They often hover head down, almost motionless over a reef, waiting for prey. Once close enough, they rapidly open their jaws in succession, causing a strong suction force which draws their prey straight into their mouth. Trumpet fish can also change color to blend into their surroundings, and often use larger fish as cover when hunting.
