SEIU doctors on the frontlines of healthcare launched a new video series to share information with Latino communities about the Health Insurance Marketplace and the Affordable Care Act.
This release is a part of the SEIU national outreach campaign launched last week with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers are talking to their colleagues, neighbors and friends about the benefits of the healthcare law and how to sign up. Efforts in the Latino and African American communities are focused on reaching uninsured, working Americans in more than 30 major metropolitan areas to inform them of their new healthcare options under the law.
The video features Dr. Michelle Espinoza, Chief Family Medicine Resident, Jamaica Hospital in New York and Dr. Say Salomón, Internal Medicine Resident, Woodhull Medical Center also in New York, both members of SEIU.
