There are many games set in real life locations, from GTA V Los Angeles, to Sleeping Dogs in Hong Kong, to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Sydney, but how do games depict the world in games? Or in other words; How do games depict real life locations? In today's video I discuss this question with as many examples as possible, exploring how locations like Tokyo, San Fransisco, and Boston are remade in Yakuza, Watch Dogs 2, and Fallout 4. Some of these depictions are made in open world, some others achieve them in linear maps, some are set in the past, while some others are set in the far future. There are so many games set in real life that this is not the first video I dedicate to this topic, having alredy dsicussed Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Rome and Assassin's Creed Unity Paris in separate videos, as well as listing all games set in Italy, Spain and Portugal in others. I hope you like today's topic!
