The UK as a failing state. How the trend since the Brexit vote has seen post-Brexit Britain surging up the league table of fragile states. Of the 178 countries ranked for stability on the Fragile States Index, only 8 have shown consistent deterioration in each of the last 5 years, and the UK is one of them. Of the 30 most stable countries, only 2 show any deterioration in any of those 5 years. And those two are Trump’s America, alongside the UK.
