We made a trip out to Central Vietnam for the BEST BANH MI in HOI AN! Started off the day to a slow start due to John getting hit with a gastro-bug (poor guy). We ventured off to a nearby market near ICON 56 in District 1, HCMC for some breakfast in the form of Com Suon Trung - Vietnamese style Pork Chop with Sunny-side up egg over Broken Rice. So damn delicious!

This was followed by a trip to the Domestic airport for our flight to Danang, Central Vietnam. We explored the Linh Ung Pagoda in Danang then proceeded to Hoi An. Hoi An is well known for the ‘Old Town’ which is a World Heritage site. We made a quick wander through the town on this super-rushed day and managed to sneak into a few Banh Mi. We tried the banh mi at:

Banh Mi Phuong (Anthony Bourdain approved!) and
Madam Khanh - The Banh Mi Queen

Absolutely amazing banh mi from both establishments.
