This weeks project was to remove the existing blown-in insulation from the attic.
The quote I got from contractors to remove this was $1700. I could have also rented an insulation vacuum form Sunbelt Rentals which went up to $400 per day.
Instead I bought a dust collector from Harbor Freight for $250 and a drain pipe from Home Depot to get the job done. Saved myself a bunch of money.
