El Teide (3.718 m) is the highest peak of Spain. Contemplating its rising shadow at sunset and sunrise was the best, a one of the kind scene. Started to hike from the Montaña Blanca trail and reached the peak the next morning. Hiked all the way down through lava fields until Paradores (-1700m at once!).
I did this trip in March 2019. Next time, from sea to summit? :)
