JANUARY
Jan - Mar Blackcurrants - prune
Jan - Mar Gooseberries - prune
Jan - Mar Red / whitecurrant - prune
January Save inner cardboard tubes from toilet rolls for runner beans etc
January Apple - plant trees
January Apple - prune trees
January Pear - plant trees
January Pear - prune trees
Week 3 Shallot - plant sets in 8cm pots in protected position
Week 4 Buy or borrow a soil testing kit (Brussels sprouts etc.)
Week 4 Add lime if necessary to reduce soil acidity (Brussels sprouts etc)

For me growing is a passion there is nothing more satisfying than a year round supply of home grown fruit and vegetables
