Serb General Ratko Mladic is set to stand trial on charges genocide in the 1992-1995 Bosnian War.
Among his alleged crimes are his role in a massacre in the town of Srebrenitsa, in which 8,000 Muslims were slaughtered - and the deaths of over 10,000 civilians during the siege of Sarajevo.
However, Mladic is still viewed as a national hero by many Serbs. His son Darko stands by his father's actions in the war.
"I know that he was doing his job in this war, and primarily the objective of our side was to protect our people from being exposed to genocide again. I think that all the friends' support my father had and has is within the Serbian people. This inversion for me is a terrible attack on the truth, because all we did is defending ourselves from being again exposed to genocide."
