Every spring, Maine’s amphibians take advantage of warm, rainy nights to make their way from their underground winter burrows to nearby ponds for reproduction. This annual mass migration is known as 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. 🦎🐸
At UNE, Dr. Jeff Parmelee leads Environmental Science students out to witness this event, survey the species, and help them cross the road safely.
