We're now offering virtual appointments using telehealth. After the first week of teleworking the most common issue that most patients are dealing with is muscle and joint stiffness in their neck and back. The reason for this increase in muscle tightness and pain is because they are working from their home which is not ergonomically set up like their work is. This is putting addition stress and tension on their bodies especially in the neck and lower back region. In your virtual appointment I can work with you on setting an ergonomic workstation at home. This can all be done online and I can provide you with all the resources. At this point we do not know how long you might have to work from home so it is important that we get you set up with an ergonomic workstation.
The second virtual appointment we are offering is stretches and exercises for your condition. I can give you advice and coach you on how to perform the stretches and exercises so you can continue your care at home.
Finally the third virtual appointment I’m offering is for Acupuncture. Acupuncture is very effective at relieving anxiety, stress and depression along with many other conditions. With everyone being confined to their homes for extended periods and the unsettling news most people are stressed out and feeling very anxious. Now obviously I can’t place acupuncture needles through the computer screen but I can tell you where to place the acupuncture seeds or how to apply digital pressure on a acupuncture point.
