Sonic 2: Archives is a Rom Modification of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 created by Team Conquest & Team Technical, featured as an entry to this years (2023) Sonic Hacking Contest!

The modification here attempts to restore unused conceptions, as well as concept arts, prototypes, and early/unused stuff etc.

At the moment, it's restoring the "Present" timeline and the current zones:
• Emerald Hill
• Ocean Wind (Still WIP)
• Jungle Woods (aka. Secret Woods, aka Wood Zone)
• Sand Shower (aka. Dust Hill)
• Metropolis Zone

Changes:
• Different graphics and music for each act.
• New zones (Ocean Wind, Woods, Sand Shower)
• Zones look closer to their earlier iterations.
• New music.
• Music changes (made closer to Masa demos and betas)
• New bosses.
• Some Sonic sprites and Tails sprites redrawn.
• New gameplay features (wall recoil, Tails flying and more!)
• Title screen.
• Island map (much like Super Mario World)
• New Sega and sound test screens (by TheBlad768)
