The Vashisht hot springs are across the Beas River, about 3.2 Km away from Manali bus stand, at an altitude of 1,982 meters just above the Manali-Keylong road. Vashisht, renowned for its temples and sulphur hot springs, endowed with great healing powers.
Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashishta Muni, and there is a Temple of Lord Ram here. The natural hot sulphur springs, with two separate bathing tanks for men and women are always full of tourists. Go very early in the morning (before 9 am), for a much less crowded experience. It has a Turkish style shower, separate for men and women. The hot and cold water is separately piped, maintaining the regular temperature for bathing. Charges are nominal.

The Vashisht hot waters springs are said to cure many skin diseases. Many people go to the Vashisht baths to take a dip and rid themselves of skin infections and diseases. There are separate baths for both men and women. The baths are fitted with Turkish style showers. These baths are close to the hot water spring so that hot and cold water can be separately piped.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit the Vashisht Springs and take a dip her are in the summer months between March and October. One can also take a dip in the winter, and even though the water is hot, it is very cold otherwise.

The timings for enjoying the rejuvenating Vashisht baths are from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A very important thing to keep in mind, while taking a dip in this holy hot water is that there are plenty of pick pocketers who operate as a clan and there have been cases of tourist being robbed after hanging their trousers or bags on the hooks provided. It is always better to have your valuables kept with someone trusted while entering into the bath.
Vashist also is famous for a pair of old stone temples, opposite each other above the main square. These temples are dedicated to the local patron saint Vashista. The smaller of the two stone temples opens on to a partially covered courtyard, and its adorned with elaborate wood carvings. The walls lining the interior of the shrine have blackned by years of oil-lamp and incense smoke.
Outside the temple complex there are a few locals who will always be spotted holding big fluffy rabbits. These rabbits are rented out to people for a picture.
